EHS and MMU High School Students Compete

Essex High School and Mount Mansfield High School students compete to move to the District Level of competition.   Again this year, Amy Jackman is coordinating Essex Rotary's involvement.   Below is information from the District's Speech Contest poster: 

Topic: Make a Difference by applying Rotary’s 4-Way Test.

Prepare & Deliver a five-minute speech which relates the relevance of this topic to teamwork and to everyday relationships.

High School Age Students Only.   Memorization not required.   Details at www.rotary7850.org

Round 1Prize $100  Local contest sponsored by local -- insert club name --- and local schools.- Contest must be held before Feb 22, 2018

Round 2Prize $150  Compete against up to ten other Round 1 Club Winners from other nearby Rotary Clubs before March 22, 2018.  

Round 3Prize $250  Compete against up to ten other Round 2 Winners at the District 7850 Assembly  around noon on  Saturday April 14, 2018  at  Lyndon State College.

Round 4Grand Prize $500  Compete against one other Round 3 Finalist around Noon on Saturday May 5, 2018 at the District 7850 Conference at Mount Washington 

$1,000 Grand Prize Winner in last year’s contest was Sophie Parker, sponsored by Charlotte-Shelburne Rotary Club
