Weekly Club Newsletter 2015 04 01

 

       Greetings Rotarians!  As one Essex Rotary fundraiser ends, so begins another!  Today marked the official kick-off for the 2015 Essex Rotary Golf Tournament.  To get in the spirit of things, we held our annual Essex Rotary putting contest.  This event was won by Holly Lemieux who took home the prize of a freshly baked chocolate-cream pie from The Essex. The Golf Tournament is by far our Club’s biggest fundraiser and in order for it to be successful, we need the support and assistance of every one of our members!  The Golf Committee has already done the heavy lifting in terms of getting major sponsors, but it is up to the rest of us to do our part by securing as many hole and cart sponsors as possible.   By now, you all should have received a list of potential sponsors to contact from Nancy Freeze.  As Dave Johnson has pointed out, sometimes all we have to do is ask in order to get sponsors and that if we don’t ask, we shall not receive.  Let’s make sure we all do our parts to ensure the continued success of this event!

 

 

 

            The Rotary Leadership Institute is being held on April 11, 2015 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.  This is a great opportunity for newer Rotarians to learn more about potential leadership positions within the Club.   Please visit http://www.rlinea.org for more information about this event.  Our Club will cover the registration fee for anyone who would like to attend.  Don’t forget to also mark your calendars for the District Conference which will be held at the Stoweflake in Stowe from May 29^th through May 31^st.  Registration materials for this event may be found on the District 7850 website at www.rotary7850.org
