Local Committee
From our local fundraising events our Local Committee supported the following:
Family Crisis Funding: Based on referrals from local school counselors, helped 6 different families in crisis with a one-time financial boost. Financial assistance helped with home heating, tires, gasoline card, grocery card, and rent assistance.
Local Food Shelves: Support goes to help food shelves in Westford (Westford Food Shelf @ United Church of Westford), Essex Junction (Heavenly Food Pantry at the 1st Congregational Church), and Jericho (Essex, Jericho, Underhill Ecumenical Ministries Food Shelf).
Service Above Self Dinner: Recognition of local volunteers including Essex first responders from Police, Town & Village Fire, and Rescue and a community member.
EDD Memorial Fund: Support for Adaptive Sports Programs
Odyssey of the Mind Team Essex Middle School
World Youth Day: Donation to support travel to the international gathering.
Power of Produce (POP) Program: 5 Corners Farmers Market initiative that teaches young shoppers the value of fresh, locally grown produce.
YMCA Camp Abnaki: Scholarship for a camper from Essex
Essex CHIPS: Funded Healthy Snack program
