Learn about evolution of electric aircraft in Vermont at BETA Technologies new production facility
BETA Technologies has invited Essex Rotary to hold its regular meeting at their production facility in South Burlington. The visit includes lunch hosted by BETA, a talk about the company, and tour of the production facility. Two separate events have been scheduled due to the need to limit the number attendees to 20 people per tour - the first on Nov 20 - and a second on Nov 21 (Thursday), if needed. If extra slots are available, they will be offered to friends and supporters of Essex Rotary.
BETA Technologies was founded by Kyle Clark, an Essex High School graduate with an impressive resume. Recently Governor Scott hypothized that BETA could well become the innovation and manufacturing equivalent of Fab #9 - the IBM, now GlobalFoundries, chip fabrication faclity in Essex Junction.
During our visit, perhaps we will meet Alia, the electric plane that is changing avaiation in the world.
