Miss Vermont and Miss Teen Vermont Share Experiences and Issue Focus
Due to a conflict - Meara Seery has a new job!! - we have a substitute speaker.
First, Charlee Royer (Miss Teen Vermont) will "Zoom In" over her lunch break at North Country Union High School. Her Community Service Initiative focus is "Beyond the Ribbon: Providing Mental Health Support to Children Affected by Cancer."
Replacing Meara as our principal speaker is Sophia Parker, the Miss Vermont 2024 First Runner Up and current reigning Miss Addison County. She also has a remarkable story. She is a member of the Vermont National Guard, spending significant time overseas serving as a medic, an interest that has led her to becoming a Registered Nurse. Also, she runs a non-profit called Otter Creek Wildlife Rescue with her mother where they rescue and rehab injured wildlife.
Essex Rotary is so grateful to the young women of the Miss Vermont Scholarship Program for helping us raising funds at our annual Golf Tournament and at the CVE Corn Booth.
