We met on a gorgeous early Fall day in Holy Family Church Hall . President Lois Parmelee called the meeting to order. After a delicious lunch filled with more socializing, we heard announcements (see upcoming events section below). Tim Gendron shared a very funnny joke and Happy Dollars were collected.
A big welcome to our two new members inducted today - Luc LeBlanc and Denis Dees
Our guest speaker was Chris Yuen, Community Development director of the City of EssexJunction. Chris shared a lot of information in a relatively short time pertaining to proposed changes at 5 Corners and along Pearl Street to where it connects to the Susie Wilson area. Both are being done to encourage more use of mass transit, develop more housing and shared use space,, and to improve connection between residential and commercial or services.
The plan can be viewed on Essex Junction.org website .
