Although it looks and feels like January, spring is technically here which means it is time to start gearing up for the 2014 Essex Rotary Golf Tournament!  This year’s event will be held at the Links at Lang Farm on Wednesday, June 11^th.  This is our Club’s biggest fundraiser, so it is important that all Rotarians participate and help out with this event.  A volunteer sheet is being passed around.  We ask that each Rotarian who is not playing in the tournament please volunteer for a slot at the event.  It is also important that members solicit sponsors for the tournament.  Each Rotarian is responsible for bringing in at least one sponsor.  The Golf Committee will be distributing sponsorship brochures in another week or so for you all to use when soliciting sponsors.

 

 

            The District Rotary Leadership Institute is offering leadership courses for anyone who is interested.  The next courses are scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.  This is a great way to learn about the many functions of Rotary, so newer members are strongly encouraged to attend.  For registration information, please visit http://www.rlinea.org/Registration.htm

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 – Our speaker will be Amy Schram from the Better Business Bureau.  She will be discussing consumer education.
