Greetings fellow Rotarians!  Today’s speaker was Jon Kuyper, Director of YMCA Camp Abnaki in North Hero, Vermont.  This camp was founded in 1901 and it is located on the southern tip of North Hero Island on 90 acres of land along the shores of Lake Champlain. It serves as both an overnight camp for boys between the ages of 8-16 and a day camp for boys between the ages of 6-10. Each session is two weeks long and offers its campers the opportunities to partake in activities like swimming, rock climbing, archery, arts and crafts, and much more.  The camp activities and programs focus on instilling its motto of “help the other fellow” in its campers.  For more information about this camp, please visit its website at www.campabnaki.org

            We can use one more volunteer to work at the Heavenly Pantry Food Shelf on Thursday, March 24^th.  Please contact Sharon Dettenrieder  at sharon.dettenrieder@gmail.com if you would like to help.

 

 

            We are looking for volunteers to help serve food and clean up at the Essex High School Community Service Dinner on April 7^th beginning at 6:00pm.  This event will honor several high school students who have generously volunteered within the community. Please contact Amy Jackman if you would like to help out.
