Greetings fellow Rotarians!  We kicked off today’s meeting by recognizing our newest Paul Harris Fellow. By donating at least $1,000.00 to the Rotary Foundation, Bob Mulcahy was named a Paul Harris Fellow.  For our newer members, the Rotary Foundation is the financial arm of Rotary that allows this organization to fund philanthropic projects across the globe.  Thanks to the efforts of Rotarians like Bob, the Foundation continues to thrive.  Thank you to Bob for your generous support of the Foundation!  The remainder of today’s meeting was reserved for charitable committee meetings, however, as most of the committees have finalized their spending for the fiscal year, we ended the meeting a bit earlier than usual.

 

 

            We are now in the home stretch for securing sponsors.  Committee chair, Dave Johnson has indicated that Monday is the deadline for sponsors to get in the text of the ads they would like to use on their signs. If you know of any sponsors, please make sure they submit their payments and the text to be used on their signs by this deadline. A sign-up sheet is also being passed around for volunteers at this event. If you haven’t done so already, please be sure to sign up for a shift. 

 

 

            As of right now, it appears that the Heavenly Pantry Food Shelf shifts scheduled for tomorrow (May 26^th) are all filled. Thank you to all who volunteered for that shift. The next volunteering opportunities will be on June 23^rd and July 28th.  Please let Sharon Dettenrieder know if you are interested in signing up for any of these shifts.

 

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  June 1, 2016 – Our speaker will be Jill Prado, the Director of Virtual Intercultural Avenues.
