Greetings Rotarians!  The 2016 Essex Rotary Golf Tournament is now officially in the books! The weather may have made it feel more like September than June, but that certainly didn’t cool our spirits. With the exception of the seagull that met its untimely demise after being hit by an errant golf ball, all seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves at the tournament. Thank you to all of the Rotarians who volunteered to work at this event and a special thank you goes out to the Essex Rotary Golf Committee.  The members of that group have been diligently preparing for this event since January and have done an amazing job of once again pulling off a successful event.  Thanks to their efforts, the Golf Tournament will once again be our Club’s most successful fund raiser of the year.

 

 

            You and your families are cordially invited to this year’s changeover dinner/picnic that will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, June 29^th at the Maple Street Park in Essex Junction.  This event will be catered and it will be FREE of charge (no, that’s not a misprint!) so please join us for an evening of family fun and fellowship.  A sign-up sheet is being circulated at our meetings, so please let the Club know if you and your family will be attending.

 

 

            The next volunteering opportunities will be on June 23^rd and July 28th.  Please let Sharon Dettenrieder know if you are interested in signing up for any of these shifts.

 

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  June 15, 2016 – Brett Grabowski, President of Milot Real Estate will be on hand to update us on the mixed-use development at the Five Corners in Essex Junction.
