Meeting Recap

Greetings Rotarians!  We started things off by recognizing members who sponsored new members in the previous Rotary year and the twenty members who had perfect attendance last year. We then held our first charitable committee meetings of the Rotary year. Within the next week, all committees should be getting an accounting of the funds that will be available for spending this.  It is anticipated that each committee will have at least the same amount of money to disburse as last year.  Committee members are encouraged to start brainstorming for ideas on the manner in which the funds should be disbursed.

Rotary Corn Booth

Thank you to all of the Rotarians who have signed up for shifts at the Corn Booth. There are, however, still 31 shifts that need to be filled. Family members and friends of Rotarians are also welcome to sign up for shifts.  You may sign up for shifts at meetings or online at: http://rotaryclubofessex.org/event/corn-booth-at-champlain-valley-fair/ Corn Dollars are now available as well!  The Club asks that each Rotarian pay $20.00 in exchange for ten Corn Dollars. We use these funds as seed money to get the Corn Booth started each year. Corn Dollars (each of which is good for one free ear of corn) are great gifts for friends and family members who visit the Fair. Please contact Holly Lemieux or Ray Allaire with any questions you may have about this event.
