Greetings fellow Rotarians! If there were ever any doubts that Mother Nature was a Rotarian at heart, those concerns were certainly erased today.  In spite of the weather predictions that included rain, wind, thunder and lightning, we ended up enjoying a perfect day for our Golf Tournament. Under sunny skies and warm temperatures, all of our participants and volunteers had a great time on the links.  Thank you very much to the Rotarians who either volunteered their time to help at this event or who played in the tournament itself.  We would also like to extend a thank you to the many businesses who helped sponsor this event. This tournament would not be successful without the generous financial donations of our sponsors. Last, but not least, a special thank you goes out to Dave Johnson and the rest of the Golf Committee for their hard work in making this event such a huge success. Dave and his crew have been tirelessly working behind the scenes since January to put together this tournament.  Thanks to their efforts, the Golf Tournament continues to be our Club’s most successful fund-raising event.

 

 

            As one fundraiser ends, preparations are already underway for our next one. We will once again be operating the Rotary Corn Booth at the Champlain Valley Fair from August 24^th through September 2^nd.  The Corn Booth committee is currently looking for feedback and ideas relative to the operation of the Corn Booth this year. If you have any thoughts, or if you would like to assist the committee in any way, please contact Mike Dimitroff at mike@dimitroff.com

 

 

            If you haven’t paid your 2018-2019 Rotary Dues yet, please do so immediately.  If, however, you do not intend to renew your membership, please let our Board of Directors know. Dues may be paid online, or in person, but they must be paid by June 29^th at the latest.  Any members who do not remit payment of their dues by that date will be dropped from our Club’s roster. 

 

 

            The next opportunities to volunteer will be on Monday, July 9th at 5:15pm; Thursday, July 26th at 6:15pm; Monday, August 13th at 5:15pm; Thursday, August 23rd at 3:30pm; Monday, September 10th at 5:15pm; and Thursday, September 27th at 3:30pm. Please let Sharon Dettenrieder know if you are able to fill any of these shifts.

 

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  Wednesday, June 20, 2018 – We will be holding our changeover barbeque at Maple Street Park starting at 5:30pm.  This will be held in lieu of our regularly scheduled meeting.
