Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians! Our speaker today was Jesse Bell, Administrator and founder of the Bellcate School.  Jesse founded this special education school in 2008 to assist students who have difficulty learning in larger public school settings.  The school serves a maximum of 30 students each year who range between ages 11 and 22. Each student’s curriculum is designed to accommodate his or her specific needs and interests. Jesse explained that a number of the students have experienced trauma at some point in their lives.  For that reason, the school utilizes what Jesse refers to as a therapeutic model of education. For more information about the Bellcate School and its philosophy, please visit its website at: https://bellcate.com/about-bellcate/

Feed My Starving Children Service Project

On Saturday, October 19th, our Club has once again committed to help staff the Feed My Starving Children service project.  The event will be held at Albert D. Lawton Middle School in Essex Junction from 9:00am to 11:00am. This is a fun event at which Rotarians and their family members will put together food packages that will feed hundreds of children in impoverished countries.  We still need several volunteers for this event, so please e-mail Amy Jackman at amymj@us.ibm.com if you would like to help out.

Amazon Smile Program

We are pleased to announce that our Club is now set up to participate in the Amazon Smile program.
