Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians. Today our members had a chance to break off into virtual groups and brainstorm ideas on how to move forward during the next Rotary year. Each group was asked to come up with ideas about new service projects to undertake, new fundraisers to start and what types of speakers we want to hear at meetings. Some very creative fundraising ideas were shared which ranged from pickle ball tournaments to selling corn to the community in a mobile corn booth. We also learned that Members would like to participate in service projects that connect us with members of the community who may be feeling isolated during these trying times. Members also expressed an interest in hearing people speak to our Club about things that directly impact our community and relevant current events that impact as at local, national and global levels. Thank you to all who participated in this meeting and for coming up with some great ideas. We hope this will just be the beginning of our efforts to get our Club re-engaged with each other and our community.

Membership Dues

Thank you to all of the members who have already renewed your memberships. If your intention is to renew your membership for the 2020-2021 Rotary year, we ask that you please remit payment for your dues no later than June 19th as we will need to report the 2020-2021 roster to Rotary International before the start of the new Rotary year (which begins on July 1st). It is worth noting that half (1/2) of the dues can be paid now with the other half (1/2) being paid by December 31st. If, however, you do not intend to renew your membership, we’d ask that you please reach out to any member of the Board ahead of time to let us know and to see if there is anything that the Club can do to make it easier for you to remain as a member. Please note that if we do not receive your dues payments by June 19th, we will have to drop you from the Membership roster. Please let us know if this timeline is going to be an issue so we can try to work something out.

Upcoming Meeting Schedule: Wednesday, June 24, 2020 – Since we can’t meet at Maple Street Park as planned, we will be holding a Zoom Cocktail Hour to close out the 2019-2020 Rotary year. Please join us as we thank outgoing President Heidi Brosseau for her service and welcome incoming President, Max Seaton and his Board of Directors. We will also be recognizing the Rotarians who have been selected to receive the following awards: Rookie of the Year; Rotarian of the Year; Unsung Hero Awards; and the President’s Award.
