Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians. Tonight, we held our traditional Changeover Dinner in a very non-traditional way. This evening’s event took the form of a Zoom Cocktail Hour at which 28 Rotarians virtually gathered to celebrate the year that was and welcome in the year that will be.  After having time to socialize, President Heidi Brosseau provided us with a brief overview of the past Rotary Year.  She then announced this year’s recipients of our Club Awards.  Steve Schmida was named as this year’s Rookie of the Year in recognition of his infectious enthusiasm for Rotary and for jumping right into our various projects in such a short period of time.  We next recognized Ron Line as the Unsung Hero of the Year.  In addition to dutifully filling volunteer spots at just about every fundraiser and service event, Ron can be seen twice every month helping out at the Food Pantry.  Our Rotarian of the Year is Betty Poulin. Betty was recognized for her skillful and tireless efforts in navigating our Club’s finances and making sure that our Club was once again on sound footing.  The final award was the President’s Award that was bestowed upon Andy Love. Andy was recognized as a key figure in keeping the Club on even keel during some of its most trying times. His ability to handle issues and tasks with a rare level of diplomacy and aplomb served our Club well during the past year. Congratulations to all on recognitions well-deserved! The evening would not have been complete without recognition of our outgoing President, Heidi Brosseau.  This was a year like no other, and Heidi arguably faced more daunting challenges than any other President in our Club has ever faced.  In spite of serving under the most trying of circumstances, Heidi’s can-do spirit and creativity kept our Club active and vibrant and headed into the future just as strong as before.  Thank you to Heidi for your service as President!  We concluded the evening with remarks from our incoming President, Max Seaton.  Over the past few months, Max has already been heavily involved at the leadership level and getting ready for the new Rotary year.  Thank you to Max for stepping in as President for the upcoming year!

Membership Dues

Just as a reminder, if you haven’t paid your dues yet and plan on renewing your membership, we will need your dues paid immediately so that we have time to process them before the start of the new Rotary Year (which begins on July 1st). It is worth noting that half (1/2) of the dues can be paid now with the other half (1/2) being paid by December 31st. Since we need to get our final roster to Rotary International and the District before the start of the new year, we will unfortunately have to drop members from the roster if they have not paid in time.
