Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians. Today’s speaker was Darrell Longworthy, owner/chef of Mark BBQ and Heart and Soul restaurants on Park Street. Darrell is dedicated to giving back to the community especially to those experiencing food insecurity. Since the start of the pandemic, Darrell has been offering free meals to people in the community on Wednesday evenings and he has also been delivering meals to people in need. Rotary International and COVID-19

In the past several months we have learned what Clubs across the globe are doing to fight the COVID pandemic. Each day, Rotarians are stepping up to provide financial and hands-on assistance to those affected by COVID. None of this would be possible, however, without the generous support of the Rotary Foundation. As the financial arm of Rotary International, the Foundation has disbursed over $20 million (US) to help Clubs finance COVID recovery and assistance projects. This is why donating to the Foundation is so important and truly makes a difference to those in need.

Upcoming Survey

Please be on the lookout for another short survey in your in-boxes. We are trying to solicit as much input as possible about the format of future meetings, fundraisers and activities. Your responses will dictate the direction our Club takes, so we are hoping that we will once again get as many responses as possible.
