Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians!  Today we took part in our second Club service project of the year by putting together informational booklets for the Give Way to Freedom Foundation.  This foundation is a non-profit organization that is leading the fight against human trafficking worldwide.  The booklets we put together will be given to health service agencies across the.  The hope is that these easily concealable pamphlets will be distributed to potential victims of human trafficking and provide them with the information they need to escape their current situations.  For more information about the Give Way to Freedom Foundation, please visit its website at www.givewaytofreedom.org

Golf Tournament

The final drive for golf sponsors is in full gear! All of the spots for teams have been filled, however, we are slightly behind last year’s pace for sponsors.  If you haven’t done so already, please contact the sponsor that was assigned to you or any other businesses that might have an interest in sponsorship. As we have mentioned before, this is our biggest fundraiser, so every sponsorship dollar helps!

Changeover Dinner

This year’s changeover dinner will coincide with our Club’s Family Day.  This event will be held at Chapin Orchards on Saturday, June 29th starting at 4:00pm.  You are encouraged to bring your family members to not only enjoy an evening at the orchard, but to witness the changeover and participate in the annual auction.  More details about this event will follow in upcoming weeks.

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  May 15, 2013 – Our speaker will be Ed Fitzgerald, Director of Marketing and Sales for Vermont Rail System.
