Beta Technologies has invited Essex Rotary to a presentation on BETA Technologies new production facility in South Burlington on the edge of the Patrick Leahy airport, along with LUNCH and a tour of the plant. At BETA's request, each tour is limited to 20 people. These tours will be in place of our regular Wednesday lunch meeting on Nov 20.
With any luck, the electric, battery powered ALIA aircraft will be on site!! And to make the Essex connection, BETA's founder, Kyle Clark, spent one year at Essex High School before moving on to a Harvard and the US Men's national hockey team before becoming a serial entrepreneur - an interest that has led to the creation of a market altering electric airplane.
And to repeat, this BETA tour replaces the Essex Rotary Nov. 20 lunch meeting. the lunch at BETA is being provided at no charge to Essex Rotary and our members.
If you would like to attend, please sign up for either the Wednesday or Thursday lunch and tour, with the understanding that the Thursday gathering will only be held if the Wednesday tour is filled. I strongly suspect we will have enough attendees for both.
A waiting list sign up is available for guests who will be invited to attend if there are spots available. Active Rotary Club of Essex Members will have first priority for spots.
All the best,
Greg Morgan, your Speaker Coordinator
