Meeting Recap

Greetings Rotarians! Today’s speaker was Adjutant General, Stephen Cray from the Vermont National Guard.  General Cray was elected to serve in this position by the Vermont Legislature and he oversees the command of roughly 4,000 members of the Vermont National Guard.  In addition to providing support to military operations overseas, the Guard also provides vital assistance domestically in times of need.  For example, when Hurricane Irene devastated parts of Vermont, the Guard was there to help.  The Guard has also established partnerships in Macedonia and Senegal where Vermont soldiers are training soldiers in those countries.  General Cray finished his talk by generously answering several questions from the audience.
